Specialty Items Program

FDR’s Specialty Department has created a Specialty Items Program to allow customers to consolidate miscellaneous laundering such as Bed Spreads, Cubicle Curtains, Mops and aprons through our processing system while providing a mechanism for safe return. 

Bar Coded Net Bags
Bar coded net bags are utilized to keep these specialty items out of the general population of linen.  Each net bag provided is labeled for specialty processing and clearly displays the name of the facility.  Soiled specialty items are to be placed in the designated net bags and the bags are to be placed on top of the soil linen bins for the next linen pick-up.

Reject Linen Program

Processed linen is inspected at every step of production, from just out of the washer,
to folding and packing to ensure that each piece is free from defects and meets sanitary standards.  For unacceptable items that may inadvertently pass through, we have developed a Reject Linen Program which enables the customer to identify all reject linens being returned to FDR.

Bar Coded Net Bags
As with the Specialty Items Program, bar coded net bags are provided to the facility to accumulate any reject linen.  These bags are to be given to the FDR Account Manager to be reviewed so that necessary corrections can be made to our processes to ensure the cause of the problem is corrected.
