In pursuit of a true customer-vendor partnership, FDR offers its expert resources to theircustomers as part of the customized Linen Program.  This has been designed to streamline the linen process at both the customer and the plant level, incorporating education and in-service procedures to ensure the greatest value while maintaining the highest level of service.  With all aspects of the Linen Program, our staff is available to make recommendations and to assist the in-service staff.  Designated Account Managers are responsible for your facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and they can be reached via cell phone or by email.

 

 

FDR Services Corp.’s Linen Program has been designed to meet the needs of our end users.  Our standard linen products have been selected for our customers based on their functionality and high quality requirements.  We continually work with our linen vendors to ensure that the product we provide surpass the expectations of our customers and our industry.

 

Delivery Information
Every FDR bin is affixed with a bar code which is scanned each time a bin enters or exits the plants.  These bar codes allow each bin to be tracked throughout the laundry process as well as to ensure that all weights are correctly recorded for each customer.  From the scanned information a Bin Ticket is produced identifying the account, date of delivery and the bin contents, gross and tare weights.  A Delivery Ticket is generated summarizing all of the bin tickets and the total pieces shipped for that delivery.  The FDR driver provides all of this information to the appropriate person at the time of delivery.

 

Inventory Control Form
Customers are provided with Fax transmittal sheets which lists the items that they receive as well as the agreed upon par levels for those items.  The customer faxes this form daily to FDR’s Customer Service Department to make additions and cuts for their next delivery.  This form also allows FDR to monitor the customer’s inventory on a continual basis, preventing over-stocked or under-stocked shelves, as well as serving as a cost saving mechanism by reducing the opportunity for loss and waste.

 

 

Linen Committee
FDR Services Corp. believes that the most efficient way to preserve the quality of our service, is by feedback from the end user of our products and services.  This has encouraged FDR to set up a linen committee at various accounts to better meet the quality standardsour customers require to provide to their patients.  Each AccountManager has been trained and is available to assist in developing a committee to meet your facility’s special needs.

 

 

In-Service Education
FDR Services has designed educational programs to maximize patient care, while working with each facility’s policies and procedures.  By providing in-service education to all necessary staff, FDR is able to improve quality standards as well as teach the staff the proper procedures to follow which will ultimately result in a reduction of costs.  These in-services include demonstrations on all of the products as well as proper usage and are demonstrated on the units to all of the shifts.

 

Bed Change Policy
The Bed Change Policy is established at each facility based on specific usage needs.  One of the first things FDR recommends is to implement a standard policy and ensure that all staff members are adhering to it.  A standard policy will result in high cost savings and the elimination of excess usage which will reduce extra handling and complications.

 

 

Linen Utilization Report
The Linen Utilization Report is a monthly recap of your usage and costs.  This information is broken down by Patient Day statistics to benchmark usage in an effort to reduce costs.  Analysis of this report will take place on a monthly basis to determine if the linen par levels need to be adjusted and if the linen is being utilized properly throughout the facility.
